LOVE - KANJI

Matthew 22:37-40

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

When an expert of the Law of Moses asked Jesus "who is my neighbor?" Jesus replied by sharing the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). And after sharing the parable, he asked the expert of the law, "Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The expert of the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him". And then Jesus told him "Go and do likewise". 

We've been given the commandment to LOVE our neighbors as we love ourselves. If our neighbors are struggling with mistreatment, we must show support and empathy as though we are also struggling with mistreatment as well. Carry each other's burdens and bear with each other as Disciples of Christ set apart from the World.
