In Acts 17:11 we read that the Apostle Paul and Silas visited a Jewish synagogue in the city of Berea. The Bereans welcomed Paul and Silas and they were eager to listen to what they had to say about Jesus and the fulfillment of the prophecy of the Messiah.

The people in Berea, as well as some prominent Greeks studied out what Paul and Silas had said to them in scripture, and after studying and examining the scriptures for themselves, they too began to believe in Jesus Christ.

Many people claim to believe in Jesus Christ, but few take the time to truly study and examine the scriptures for themselves, they rather just listen to someone else tell them what to believe. Be Noble, Be Eager, Be like the Bereans.
