HALLOWED BE YAHWEH

The name Yahweh (yah-WEH) occurs more than 6,800 times in the Old Testament.

When Moses encountered God as told in Exodus 3:13-15,

Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?”  God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.” - 

God said that His name is I AM, and that is His name Forever and how He will be remembered throughout all generations. 

When Jesus told His Disciples how to pray, He told them to speak to God as their father, and that His name is Hallowed (greatly revered and honored). 

Matthew 6:9-13

9“This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
    on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
    as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from the evil one.’
